As a Moonshine Mama, I am taking it upon myself to engage only in the activities that show what a kickass woman I truly am. This does not mean that I am forgoing the dishes, or the laundry on the floor. This does not mean that I will, conversely, spend all my time on housework. This means that I, instead, will seek a balance in my life so that I may feel wholly prepared as I approach each day.

Each day I will make time for work and play, never confusing play for work, but always approaching work time like play time. It is my solemn oath to not take each day too seriously, and to remember the words of Eleanor Roosevelt:

“You must do the thing you cannot do.”

Today I will . . .

Treat myself with dignity and respect.

Cultivate an environment of love in my home.

Remember to laugh.

Do the thing I cannot do.
